We went in a cyclo (it is tuk tuk with a bike.) This is a cyclo. We toured the old quarter and the lake with them. It was fun. The shops are tiny and they have millions of the same stock but in all different colors. Streets sell the same thing. Christmas lights street. The sticky tape street. It's pretty weird because here in fusion they barely have any stock.
That is a good description of crossing the street! It's better not to look, just walk slowly. I was there in October.
ReplyDeleteOur first trip out of HK was to Hanoi. I still remember the astonishment and trepidation at crossing the street. Mad, completely wonderfully mad!
ReplyDeletePhô is delicious! How can you not like it? ! I love it! And you are right, crossing the street in Hanoi feels very dangerous but once you get used to it, it's ok. Did you manage to eat some good food there at least? I don't think the Vietnamese do many bad dishes.....
